Chesty and Kimber

A New Litter is here!

Let your friends and family know that a new family of great American Standard Labradors is here!

Kimber has fully recovered from the last litter and is re-kindling her matronly instincts.

We will continue to post updates as they occur. A planning calendar will be posted for expected puppy due dates, as well as heath information for the momma (Kimber).

The tentative timeframe for availability is 3 March, 2010.

Why so long?

We prefer to keep the puppies with their family for 9 weeks. The extra week gives us a chance to continue monitoring the puppies for health and weight, and helps to lessen separation anxiety.

What is the price?

We are asking $600 for each puppy. Please refer to the puppy package page to see what you get with a DQL pup.

Which pups are still available?

Please refer to the puppy availability page...

New Updates / pages available:

A gallery of the new litter can be found in the gallery section.

How many pups, what sex, etc?

Kimber bore 10 pups.

What do the colors mean in the comments column?

The colors are assigned to the pups so we can track each pup individually. A small length of soft yarn is tied loosely around the necks of the pups to help identify them. When they get a bit older, we will start using bandanas.

The soft yarn stretches a bit, and can easily be replaced when worn. The bright colors ensure that we can tell what colors the puppies are wearing, even when the yarn gets dirty.

Chesty (sire) featured in painting!

Elin Pendleton is inspired to paint by the world around her, and has recently chosen Chesty as a subject for recent work.

Looking through DQL's gallery page, Elin found inspiration in the photo entitled, "Launch!". Here is a photo of the work in progress, and you can follow along with Elin's work at her blog:  http://elinpendleton.blogspot.com/
